“At Blenheim I took two very important decisions: to be born and to marry. I am content with the decision I took on both occasions.” Winston S. Churchill
For the 50th anniversary of the death of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace’s permanent Churchill exhibition was reinvigorated. We created a 3D model of the 6 rooms that house the exhibition – maximising the development and use of the spaces available.
The new display features interactive screens and previously unseen material, including photographs and letters, as well as artefacts such as Sir Winston’s childhood pony saddle and a splendid example of the complete uniform of the Queen’s Own Oxfordshire Hussars, his territorial regiment.
In order to show books of great rarity from the Duke of Marlborough’s Library, including Sir Winston Churchill’s hand written volumes of his father’s biography, “Lord Randolph Churchill”, we digitised selected material and created a virtual interactive library.
